Regional Quality Assurance Manager for JFK (overseeing LAX & ORD)


  • Responsible for the organization’s Quality Assurance and Product/Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory compliance, Halal compliance, adhering to local, state, federal, international, environmental, health and food safety regulations.
  • Leads and directs Quality Assurance Managers and ensures all Quality Assurance documents, processes, and protocols are adhering to the most recent regulation within the operational environment.

Food Safety & Quality Control:

  • Guarantee that the quality assurance policies and procedures in place for all locations meet the company’s, industries’ and regulatory standards for food safety and product integrity at all times.
  • Regularly review and improve the organization Quality Assurance manual.
  • Maintains a proactive relationship with regulatory or auditing agencies.
  • Establishes the schedule for regular auditing, quality assurance checks, microbiological testing, etc. within each location. Monitor trend reports from each location and create appropriate corrective action based on the analysis.
  • Review internal audit reports completed by Quality Assurance Managers and any third party audits. Identify and ensure areas of compliance across all locations.
  • Establish and maintain QA record retention system, including archives.
  • Oversee the process of certifying and maintaining certification of ISO 22000.
  • Oversee complaint investigations across the all locations, analyzing trends, and report any client trends to the Vice President.

Facility Hygiene:

  • Responsible for identifying and implementing facility cleaning contracts, pest control contracts, microbiological and chemical contracts.
  • Responsible for supporting the location in maintain the relationship with those third parties.
  • Partner with operations and facilities team to ensure the autoclave is processing accurately.
  • Write and maintain the organization’s crisis management program and facility management program
  • Partner with human resources and/or safety manager on drafting safety documents such as; Injury Illness Prevention Plan and Confined Space / Entry Permit

Employee Management:

  • Regularly review the associate training program, implement improvements based on trend analysis
  • Partners with human resources to implement corrective actions, new hire orientations, trainings, and improvement plans
  • Train location Quality Assurance teams on the expectations of internal audits, external audits, and client audits


  • Food Handler’s Card, state specific if applicable
  • Food Managers Certificate, state specific if applicable
  • 5 or more years’ experience in a management position
  • HACCP Certification
  • ISO 22000 Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • Regional Quality Assurance Manager may be classified as “Light.” Light work is defined as 0 to 20 lbs performed Frequently (F) or Significant Walking, Standing or Sitting.
