The DO & CO New York team currently consists of approximately 800 employees. We are looking for a

Fleet Manager


  • Responsible for the fleet management
  • Oversee assigned fleet’s operations and make direct reports to the Head of Operations/Department and Senior Management on fleet performance and other operational requirements
  • Obtain and maintain truck licensing, registrations and permits
  • Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking vehicles
  • Create and supervise preventive maintenance programs, manuals, liaise with manufacturers, accounting and controlling on fleet maintenance budgets and approval procedures for repairs, record keeping per vehicle, etc.
  • Point of reference for the Airport Authority (PANYNJ) with respect to all vehicle and safety related topics, trainings, courses etc.
  • Manage and supervise pre/post trip inspections, incident and accident reporting, as well as fueling procedures
  • Obtain and maintain annual inspections by regulatory authorities and ensure full compliance with local and federal requirements as well as DOT and Airport Authority (PANYNJ) Keep drivers records up to date, license checks, manage list of expiration, etc.
  • Identify areas of improvements, suggest new techniques to save costs and enhance life time of vehicles
  • Ensure fleet is maintained clean and in good condition at all times
  • Prepare and participate in customer ramp safety audits
  • Identify areas of improvements, negligence and wrongful handling of general safety and company vehicles and suggest new techniques to enhance current practice
  • Administer all vehicle and truck accident related paperwork, involving accounting, controlling and senior management
  • Conduct investigations to verify and resolve complaints
  • Responsible for all paperwork that relates to any vehicle and truck accidents (eg. police reports, insurance, repairs & corrective procedures)
  • Maintain and coordinate work orders, check invoices vs. work orders
  • Researching parts availability and costing
  • Conduct local safety meetings
  • Work closely with the Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to oversee and schedule fleet maintenance and repairs, incl. body shops, cooling systems, etc.


  • Min. 3 years of work experience with the management of a fleet
  • Complete and up-to-date knowledge of Federal and State transportation regulations
  • Ability to develop and maintain an accurate record-keeping system
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff in different functions and levels
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently, in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to perform with a sense of urgency and with a hands on approach to operational needs
  • Computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft Office) a must
  • Schedule Flexibility to work different shifts (night, weekends, holidays)
