Executive Chef

Responsibilities

Be part of a team, creating high-end products served daily to hundreds of international airline guests!

Menu Execution: Work closely with the account managers to ensure the daily production of fresh high quality foods meets airline specifications. Attend daily food tastings so last minute corrections can be made before the flights. Reinforce best practices in production to streamline cooking while not compromising excellence, deadlines, or freshness.

Quality: Ensure all products, equipment, and kitchens are held to the highest standards in food quality and organization. All areas must be audit ready at all times and comply with hygiene and safety standards at all times.

Cost: Proactively manage food cost & labor cost. Review hours weekly to ensure the department hours are on appropriately aligned with sales targets. Partner with purchasing team to manage purchase value of food as well as implement food wastage metrics to decrease cost.

Development: Manage employee performance and development. Encourage employee growth within the organization and training opportunities for development.

Hands-On: Working in the kitchen and with the team on a daily basis to develop, train, teach employees, as well as ensure the quality of the product, and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

Culinary Education

Min. 8 years’ work experience, including lead kitchen positions

HACCP knowledge

Excellent attention to detail

Outgoing personality and hands-on approach

Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced environment

Heavy work load and standing for prolonged periods of time necessary

Flexibility: different shifts available (working on weekends + holidays may be needed)
