Logistics Duty Manager

Responsibilities

  • Be part of an energetic team, creating gourmet products served to thousands of passengers daily, on the World’s best International Airlines
  • Manage the day-to-day needs of the Logistic Unit and staff
  • Monitor staff’s attendance and productivity in order to ensure all jobs are completed as scheduled
  • Guarantee employees are at all times in compliance according to hygiene requirements and company standards
  • Support in serving DO & CO’s high end products to hundreds of international guests!
  • Coordinate transportation activities between logistic and main unit
  • Ensure on time delivery of high quality products, goods and services
  • Plan, forecast, schedule and communicate transportation activities
  • Ensuring smooth and efficient operations, supply chain management
  • Supervise and motivate a large team of drivers
  • Receive important incoming calls/information from main unit and communicate it to respective departments
  • Coordinate on sending flights and clean equipment as per Main unit duty managers and supervisors request.
  • Ensure that the drivers take the correct flight equipment/ beverage in timely manner
  • Send email to all concerned parties of quantity of equipment sent to Main unit
  • Maintain the consigned area in control to ensure that the requirements of hygiene, quality and safety standards are fulfilled at all times
  • Identify problematic areas and suggest solutions
  • Present solutions to Supervisors / Department Heads and Management
  • Enforce compliance and issue disciplinary as needed
  • Other tasks may be added by Management according to operational needs

Qualifications

  • Work experience in a hospitality or food production environment
  • Min. 3-5 years of work experience in similar role
  • Ability to multi-task, work well in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with individuals in different functions
  • Passion for working within an international team
  • Hands-on approach, self-driven and dedicated personality
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills with Team leader qualities
  • Dedication to customer service and attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency, Quick thinker, Solution seeker and effective decision maker
  • Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays)
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, pull or push as needed
  • Resourceful and problem-solver
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and outlook
