The DO & CO New York team currently consists of approximately 800 employees. We are looking for a

F&B Costing and Pricing Manager

Responsibilities

  • Be part of an energetic team, creating gourmet products served to thousands of passengers daily, on the World’s best International Airlines
  • Create, coordinate and supervise the company’s pricing structure and policies, as well as production planning activities
  • Organize, calculate and submit offers (Requests for Proposals) to potential Airline customers during a bidding process. (Lead and coordinate the entire process, from initial meetings, menu presentations, submission of offers, negotiations, to contract signing)
  • Calculate and provide selling prices for offered services to current Airline customers on a daily/weekly basis
  • Analyze food and beverage cost developments; Recognize trends and make recommendations to upper management to ensure steady and growing profit margins
  • Attend menu development workshops; supervise documentation of the process; provide ad hoc pricing calculations and liaise directly with clients
  • Forecast financial implications and present in a P&L statement
  • Plan demands of offered F&B items
  • Supervise and guide a team of Cost Analysts and Production Planning Coordinators.
  • Liaise with different in-house departments (e.g. Executive Chefs, Purchasing) to proactively gather information needed to create pricing offers
  • Support head of Costing and Pricing Department with other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Min. Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in business, economics or finance)
  • Min. 3-5 years’ work experience in Costing and Pricing
  • Preferably work experience in a hospitality or food production environment
  • Strong knowledge, interest and passion for Foods, Beverages and culinary arts
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook), with advanced proficiency in MS Excel (incl. adhoc Financial Modelling abilities)
  • Proven track record of implementing an ERP data management system. Experience with product bills of materials, high volume data sets and technical specifications
  • Ability to multi-task, work well in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in order to meet processing deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people in different functions, at different levels
  • Passion for working within an international team
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Hands-on approach, self-driven and dedicated personality
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills
  • Flexibility: availability to travel (10-15%)
